Andy Warhol needs no introduction, because he understood both art and business — more specifically, he understood that you need to be successful in business in order to be successful in art.
Most artists have an aversion to that idea, which is why most artists are unsuccessful.
Still, success has many definition — many of which are personal.
For those interested in sustaining as an artist though, it’s important to accept business as a part of your craft. If you don’t, how can you expect to make a living from it?
